Worship + Justice Movement leverages city-wide worship and prayer nights to raise awareness of issues affecting a region, with the goal of mobilizing the Church to bring real change to those areas.

Founded - 2018

In 2018 we hosted two regional gatherings the first was focused on violence in the state of Alaska, and the second was focused on at-risk children. Over 450 attended these worship and prayer nights, and hundreds more tuned in online. You can learn more about our vision by clicking here.

2019

In 2019 we achieved our goal of hosting 3 major gatherings in Alaska. We did prayer + worship nights around the issues listed below and partnered with groups in the local area to serve in these areas.

  • Breaking Addiction

  • Sexual Assault

  • Economic Turnaround

2020-2021

In 2020 we hosted two gatherings, the first on violence and murder before the pandemic lockdowns began. In June we gathered on the Parkstrip in downtown Anchorage during the heat of the riots post George Floyd. We prayed about racism in our nation.

In 2021 as pandemic restrictions lifted, we held a gathering on mental health and partnered with ACF Church’s program, Hope to Alaska, paying for mental health services for those in need.
